Does a CCC certificate prove a Chinese charger is approved for every market?

Which chargers and power adapters fall within the CCC route?

CNCA’s current implementation-rule index, updated in August 2026, lists “power supplies” under catalogue codes 0807 and 0907 in the electronic-products and safety-accessories category. The controlling rule is CNCA-C09-01:2023, effective from 1 August 2023. It applies only to products that fall within the compulsory-certification catalogue; the exact product function and scope must be checked before treating every device sold as a “charger” as equivalent.

For products within scope, China’s CCC rules concern permission to leave the factory, be sold, imported or used in commercial activities in China. That market boundary matters. A supplier can hold a genuine CCC certificate for a China-market adapter and still need different conformity work for the European Union, United Kingdom, United States or another destination.

What must match between the certificate and the quoted charger?

The CCC administration provisions require certificates to identify the applicant, manufacturer, production enterprise where needed, product name and model or series, certification basis, dates, issuing body and certificate number. CNCA-C09-01:2023 adds a product-specific boundary: power supplies are divided into certification units by circuit principle and safety structure, and type-test reports must describe all products in the certification unit.

Place the live certificate result beside the quotation, label, sample and factory documents. Compare the full model suffix, input and output ratings, port configuration, applicant, manufacturer and production site. CNCA’s 2025 disclosure notice requires certification bodies to publish certificate states—including valid, suspended, cancelled or withdrawn—and provide a way for the public to check validity. A PDF with an unexpired date is therefore not enough when the live status or exact product relationship differs.

What happens when the factory, circuit or key components change?

CNCA-C09-01:2023 requires certified products to remain consistent with the type-tested sample and provides post-certification surveillance. Changes to key components, materials, safety design or electrical structure must be submitted for approval or filing before implementation; expanding the covered products also requires the certification body to evaluate the differences and add testing or factory checks where necessary.

ZIMONAI’s practical reading is that a CCC certificate is most valuable when it can be joined to current production evidence. Buyers should connect the certified model to the present bill of materials, key-component list, factory address, change approvals and shipment specification. This does not turn CCC into a global approval or a guarantee of every unit, but it prevents a genuine certificate from being stretched across an unrelated model, factory or market.
